Nga Puhi, Ngai Tuhoe
Jayme has lived most of his life in Napier but recently moved to Hokitika in the South Island. He schooled at Napier boys high school then completed his three year diploma in Visual Art and Design at the Eastern Institute of Technology.
He has no formal apprenticeship, but says he has always been interested in the works of Henry Moore and influenced by early New Zealand jade carvers of the late 1970’s.
He works in the media of jade silver and gold.
